Rachel Steed

 

Rachel’s love for theatre began at age 14 when she landed the lead role of “Mouse” in a high school production of “A Tale of Cat and Mouse”. She would continue training in acting and dance for the next twelve years. Rachel moved to Austin in 2011, and has worked with several companies including: The City Theatre, Poor Shadows of Elysium, Shrewd Productions, Lucky Chaos Theatre, Generic Ensemble Co, Something for Nothing Theatre,  Last Act Theatre Company and The Baron’s Men. Recent credits include  The Merchant of Venice (Jessica), The Spanish Tragedie (Bel-Imperia), Gallathea (Phillida), Seven (Mu Sochua, Texas Premier), Peer Gynt(Ensemble). Regional credits include: The Nerd as Tansy McGinnis as a part of the Spencer Roundtop Summer Theatre Collaborative in Ruidoso, NM.  Rachel is a 2011 graduate of Wayland Baptist University with a BFA in Theatre and Acting and an Alumnae member of Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Fraternity. She currently serves on the board of The Baron’s Men and Last Act Theatre companies.
