Christine Hoang

Christine Hoang is a writer, producer, actor, and 90s-era hip-hop dancer. She is excited to be a new member of the B. Iden Payne Awards Council. As a graduate of Louisiana State University, Christine received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Theatre. After college Christine took a detour from the arts to become an attorney and start a family. Now she's back as a self-proclaimed born-again artist. In 2015 Christine founded Color Arc Productions where she created, produced, and world premiered two new works - People of Color Christmas: The White Elephant in the Room in 2015, and Two Fathers: The Vietnam Vet & The Vietnamese Refugee, which was named Best of Fest at FronteraFest 2016. In February 2017, Color Arc Productions will mount the world premiere of A Girl Named Soo, a play with songs written by playwright Christine Hoang featuring original songs written and performed by Austin singer/songwriter BettySoo. She has performed in Heckle Her's original production of Doper Than Dope, Different Stages' production of 4000 Miles, and Lucky Chaos Theater's production of L.A.W. Lewd Asian Women, which Christine also co-wrote and co-produced.
