For five decades, the B. Iden Payne Awards Council has recognized outstanding theatrical performance, production and design in Austin. Our volunteer committee, composed of theatre professionals and lifelong audience members, sees hundreds of shows each year to ensure every eligible production is considered.

Like many arts-related organizations in Austin, the B. Iden Payne Awards is no longer funded by the City of Austin's Cultural Contracts.

Despite this, we remain committed to ensuring our awards ceremony is a celebration of our community, free of barriers to participation.
​
Your donation directly funds ASL interpretation for our ballot announcement and ceremony, and ensures that our ticket prices remain as low as possible.
